OBERLIN
HERITAGE CENTER

Client: Oberlin
Historical & Improvement Organization
Location: Oberlin, Ohio
--------------------------------------------------------------------
A landscape master plan that unifies a once disparate
and insular site. A historic school building was re-located
to a more advantageous setting. A network of footpaths
and service lanes, made of recyled brick and sandstone
links the historic buildings together and makes connections
to neighborhood and downtown. Step-less access to buildings
was developed. A series of historically sensitive sandstone
retaining walls, wrought-iron fences, wood perch fences
and hedges define the perimeter of the site.

NEW
UNION CENTER FOR THE ARTS (NUCA)
Client: Nord
Family Foundation | Location:
Oberlin, Ohio
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Designed and built a new
outdoor space - surrounded by lush planting - in the
heart of downtown Oberlin. Used by NUCA and the community-at-large
for events, this space was dead and dysfunctional prior
to renovation. A new path system supports vital links
to vehicle parking and bike parking areas for downtown
users.
